Man Made Kagoule
GLASS ONION PRESENTS:
Since our last Man Made show, almost a year ago to the date, the Manchester trio have supported the likes of Superfood, Honeyblood, Sunset Sons and Jake Bugg, performed at the Reading & Leeds Festivals, took to the road for an 18-date headline tour, played on the NME ‘New Breed’ tour, had a Maida Vale session for BBC Radio1 and a Daytrotter session.
Their last single ‘Carsick Cars’ was ‘Record of The Week’ on the BBC 6Music Breakfast Show, won strong Radio1 support, and the band also picked up praise from Q Magazine, NME, DIY Magazine, Clash Magazine, Classic Rock. The band have a bunch of festivals locked in for the summer including Latitude, Isle of Wight. Oh! And Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters) mixed their new single too.
Nottingham trio Kagoule formed at school, and quickly rose to prominence on the city’s live scene. Now all 19 with a couple of eagerly snatched up seven inches released and a storming Glastonbury 2014 set, they’ve signed to Earache Records and have just finished recording their debut album.
Cai Burns is the singing guitarist, Lucy Hatter is the bass playing singer, and Lawrence English is the fourth member and he does things to drums. The third member is never spoken of, or seen, doesn’t deserve a name and must be appeased with offerings of rare fruit and old magazines every time the moon is a waxing gibbous. Woe betide those who fail to do so. They do all their own stunts, including walking. Their hip, new, fresh sound of tomorrow excites the youth, and has been described as ‘music’ by The Press.
