Sauce presents Aubrey

Friday 14 March

Sauce present one of techno’s unsung hero’s Aubrey Saei, along with residents Pete Mangalore, Asher Jones and Dave Owen
Aubrey Saei kicked off his career almost 25 years ago with his first DJ booking at a warehouse in 1989. Since then he’s not only been a successful music producer releasing work alongside the likes of Carl Craig and Derrick May, but also a music lecturer, owner of several record labels and a prolific international DJ. Also let’s not forget that Aubrey established his record shop, Solid Groove, in 1995! Make no mistake: Aubrey really is the archetypal unsung hero of British electronic music.
Following the decline of vinyl sales in the early naughties, Aubrey took a break from label management until his new imprint, Dot Records was launched in 2012 featuring work from Paul Mac, Russ Gabriel, Miles Sagnia, Master H, Little Nobody, Savas Pascalidis, Mark Ambrose, (take a breath) Miles Serge, DBX, Lee Holman, Steve O’Sullivan and Stephen Brown… phew…
You’ll find Aubrey’s own Chicago, New York and Detroit influenced music spanning 3 decades and up there with the very best, putting out on labels such as Skudge, Komplex De Deep, Mowar, The End and Intec, and forthcoming remixes for Marcel Fengler on Ostgut Ton in the pipeline.
What this man doesn’t know about house and techno really isn’t worth knowing. Fresh off the back of his recent appearance at Tresor we’re proud and extremely excited to welcome him to Sauce…
