Gerard and the Watchmen...

Wednesday 26 February Dave Gerard Music, with his backing band The Watchmen, are rising stars of the folk scene, garnering praise from Bob Harris and Mary Ann Hobbs. Having played for Communion and at Secret Garden Party, Gerard & The Watchmen will be returning to Manchester for the first time this year, gracing Kraak with their rich presence.    Supporting them will be: Devil In My Bones – A project by Leonard Hammersley, Luke Thorpe and Mike ‘Sword In Air’ Boyd. Chris T-T

Thursday 5th December 2013 Coming to Manchester for the first time in over 4 years is Chris T-T. He’s played up and down the country with acts like Frank Turner, Bithy Clyro and the Levellers in the last few years. The bizarre fact he’s not played Manchester in such a long time could be down to the fact he’s done so much else. He’s acted as radio and club DJ, he’s been a columnist for The Morning Star, he’s even given a TED talk! And that’s not to mention the 200 oddother gigs and festivals he’s done in the last 5 years of course! Writing about everything from Nintendo’s to fox-hunting to romance and everything in between. Chris creates fragmented songs that verge on the cool side of lo-fi with his intimate and occasionally gleefully noisy tales of love, life and bus routes! Support includes Tim OT and The Casual Terrorist with more TBC. Tickets available on See Tickets, Skiddle and We Got...

Too Many T's

Saturday 23rd Nov 2013 EVENT: ‘Beats We Wish We Had Tour’ BIO: Leon Rhymes and Ross Standaloft met a few years ago whilst at a house party at University. After many late nights of hilarious booze fuelled writing sessions, the collaborations between the pair continued to flow and Too Many T’s was born. The South London based rappers have not stopped writing, recording, filming or performing, since. Too Many T’s have crafted a faithful following with their Golden Era Hip Hop formula; positive vibes, trademark back to back, rapid fire flows and turbo-charged performances. With over 150 shows in the last 18- months, The Dynamic Duo of Rap have seen their party vibes and humour take them from back-alley obscurity to the prime-time radar, right across the nation. They have played in front of tens-upon- thousands of people. In the summer of 2013 alone, The T’s graced stages at Beat Herder, Secret Garden Party, BoomTown, Shambala, V South, Late Nights (Switzerland) as well as 10 other festivals. They also performed at both Bestival and Camp Bestival, as well as hosting the main stages. Championed by music industry figures such as John Kennedy and Rob Da Bank and now considered to be one of the UK’s freshest live Hip Hop acts, Too Many T’s have turned heads and pricked ears with both music fans and press alike. The Huffington Post was quoted as saying that the guys are ‘The UK’s answer to the Beastie Boys’; quite an accolade, but an accolade that the T’s are living up to. With the self-recorded mixtape ‘Earl Necks and Round Grey’ and their debut studio EP ‘The T.P’, already under their belts, Too Many T’s will be releasing the 4-track EP ‘Beats We Wish We Had’ in November to accompany...
