Mark Fell / Larry Goves / Points of Light...

Wed 27 June Doors 7pm, £5 Experimental music for acoustic instruments, electronics, and the dancefloor. MARK FELL Multidisciplinary artist based in Sheffield (UK). Mark is at the forefront of modern computer sound. Working in the realm of minmal techno and installtion he has released critically music for flagship labels like Raser-Noton, Mille Plateaux, Line, and Editions Mego . Although working in electronic and techno music traditions, Mark’s practice has become increasingly informed by non-European musics. This is evident in two recent linked works “Multistablity” and “UL8” which explore a number of unfamiliar timing and tuning systems. Uncut magazine called these “completely mind-blowing” and the Wire said these were “amazing”. As well as recorded works Mark also produces installation pieces often using multispatial speaker technologies. Mark has performed at events around the world including Sonar, Mutek, Offf and many more. He is also a member of SND & Blir. markfell.com LARRY GOVES Larry Goves is a composer based in the UK.
