Go Dumb Tom Caruana (Wu-Tang Meets The Beatles), AnD, Pete Cannon

on Friday 20th April  we have another colossal line up.

Tom Caruana is a dope producer whose experience ranges from working with rappers, singers and musicians in studio and live environments. He is also renowned through a series of remix albums including Wu Tang versus the Beatles ‘Enter the Magical Mystical Chambers which received over 50,000 downloads in its first two months of release before being withdrawn for copy write infringement reasons. He is not only a master of blending samples; he is also a multi instrumentalist playing drums, bass, guitar and keyboards. His work has caught the attention of The Chicagoist, The New York Times, the Guardian and Edgar Wright. He also has an album in the pipeline with our very own Dr Syntax. Expect to be blown away!

Enigmatic Mancunian duo AnD famously rose to prominence in 2011 after a slew of ground breaking releases characterised by their refurbished, stripped back and Dave Clarke inspired brand of techno. True vinyl purists, the two maintain strong analogue production ethics and showcase this in their heavy hitting live show. AnD’s modernistic approach has been endorsed by trailblazing UK imprints Project Squared and Idle Hands, whilst their purist ideologies have been employed by the equally enigmatic and visionary Horizontal Ground and Black Sun Records imprints. The two have also seen a release on Felix K’s Hidden Hawaii and Krill Music alongside Jonas Kopp. Together with Tom Dicicco the three established Inner Surface Music. Embracing the shadowy outskirts of techno, AnD’s covert productions walk the road less travelled. In doing so AnD follow in the footsteps of UK luminaries Surgeon, Regis, James Ruskin and The Black Dog by continuing to shape a genuine and unflinching vision of techno.

Pete Cannon is one of the best hip hop producers in the UK right now working with artists such as Sway, Dr Syntax, Million Dan, Stig of the Dump, Sonny Jim, Panchi, Nutso, Torae and Punchlyne to name a few. He is also in a band called ‘Modern Medicine’ who are blowing up at the moment. Pete is a huge fan of synths, Amiga computers, badass beats, samples and bass lines. He currently has a live show ready to blow up a spot, so we thought it would be ace to get him down for his second performance at Go Dumb! however this will be his first solo show at our night. Big!!!

Plus Dr Syntax will be on hosting duties and Go Dumb! residents fill in the gaps with a whole stack of floor fillers.
